Abstract

In this paper it is explained how automated decision table construction and interfacing can prevent a great deal of the current problems with knowledge based systems, viz. lack of adequate design methodologies, lack of validation and verification support, maintenance problems. A decision table engineering workbench, that addresses these issues of decision table modeling and interfacing, is presented by means of a small but elaborate example.
