Aims

The European Finance Association (EFA) was created in 1974 under the auspices of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and in close cooperation with the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM - http://www.eiasm.be).

The aim of the Association is to provide a professional society of academicians and practitioners with an interest in financial management, financial theory and its application. EFA serves as a focal point of communication for its members residing in Europe and abroad. It also provides a framework for better dissemination of information and exchange at the international level.

The EFR publishes only high quality research which contributes to our understanding of financial economics. As the official journal of the European Finance Association, the European Finance Review publishes, from time to time, special issues on timely topics, including an annual special issue of selected papers presented at the EFA-meeting.

Four copies of submitted manuscripts should be forwarded to:

It contains information about the European Finance Association, conferences and seminars in Finance worldwide, special issues of journals and call for papers.

Members may also use it to convey information on on-going or completed research, seek collaboration on on-going research projects, indicate new teaching material in finance, advertise job vacancies, indicate leave of absence, etc.

Doctoral seminars

The European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM - http://www.eiasm.be ), the umbrella organisation under which the EFA operates, organizes yearly several intensive courses in finance for doctoral students, as well as workshops and doctoral tutorials. The teaching faculty belongs to leading international institutions. For more information, contact EIASM directly (see below).
